While the communities of Ripple (available on Binance) (XRP) and Monero (XMR) are growing, fans of the currencies still face challenges when it comes to storage — with little support for user-controlled storing, sending or receiving of these currencies on many popular exchanges or wallets. Things got a little brighter today, however, as the Edge multi-asset wallet has integrated both into its app alongside Bitcoin (available on Coinbase),  Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) Cash, Ethereum (available on Coinbase), Dash and several others.
Edge’s full 1.2.0 release includes:

Support to hold, send, and receive Monero (XMR)

Support to hold, send, and receive Ripple (available on Binance) (XRP)

Support to hold, send, and receive Quantum (QTUM)

Support for buying and selling Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) using credit card worldwide via Simplex integration

Ability to sweep private keys for Bitcoin (available on Coinbase), Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) Cash, Litecoin (available on Coinbase), and Dash.

Export transaction history to CSV and Quickbooks (QBO) files

Ability to restore deleted wallets

Edge CEO Paul Puey says the move follows the app’s name change from AirBitz to Edge in October last year and is in response to demand from the app’s user community for a single wallet solution supporting a broad range of assets. “While solutions exist to gain price exposure and invest in these currencies, there were no options that let users hold, send, receive, and trade these currencies from a secure wallet they control, with no custodian, and alongside a dozen other crypto assets.”
Fuey notes that with built in support for Shapeshift, users can also exchange these cryptocurrencies for other assets such as Bitcoin (available on Coinbase), Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) Cash, Ethereum (available on Coinbase), Augur (REP), and various other ERC20 tokens. The Edge wallet is available for both iOs and Andriod devices.
