Welcome to the Crypto Olympics: Day 7

Check out Day 6 of the Crypto Olympics

Coin vs. Coin – who will be crowned the Crypto Olympics Champ?

We’ve finally made it to our first round of semi-finals! Congratulations to all our participating coins so far, but there can only be one Ultimate Coin. Today’s semi-finalists are Litecoin (available on Coinbase) (LTC) vs. Ethereum (available on Coinbase) (ETH)!

In case you’ve missed it, these are the rules: we start with two coins and measure their gains and losses between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm PST. When the 4:00 pm finish line hits, whichever coin has gained the most (or lost the least if both coins are down) within our time frame is crowned the winner for the day and moves into the next bracket. We carry on until we end with our ultimate coin – the Crypto Olympics Champ.

We will be holding a podium ceremony at the end of our games to award the gold, silver and bronze medals to the appropriate coins.

Obviously, this is just for fun and games, and should not be taken as serious advice.

To see how we’re breaking up the rounds, check out the chart below. Otherwise, let’s get on with the competition!

In case you’ve missed out, here how the rounds have gone so far, leading up to today, our first semi-final round:

Litecoin (available on Coinbase) (LTC)

Litecoin (available on Coinbase) beat Monero on Day 2 of the Crypto Olympics, and LTC carried on to beat Tron (available on Binance) on Day 3. Now, Litecoin (available on Coinbase) is looking to carry on its hot streak and beat Ethereum (available on Coinbase). Will Litecoin (available on Coinbase) be able to continue its winning streak and make it all the way to the finals? We’ll find out later today.

The markets have been kind lately, but is it enough to push Litecoin (available on Coinbase) over the edge? LTC steps up to the starting line with a $233.33 selling price. The coin is up 5.45% for the past 24 hours, but how much LTC can grow until 4:00 pm PST is all that matters now.

Ethereum (available on Coinbase) (ETH)

Ethereum (available on Coinbase) is the big coin on campus. ETH beat down its rival NEO on Day 4 of the Crypto Olympics, and then it crushed Ripple (available on Binance) yesterday. Will Ethereum (available on Coinbase) be the coin to grow the most today?

Source: CoinMarketCapEthereum (available on Coinbase) is starting the race at $942.75. In the past 24 hours, ETH has only grown by 0.48%. It’s going to have to do better than that if it wants to beat out Litecoin (available on Coinbase).

Who will be the winner today and move into the finals? Check back in at 4:00 pm PST to find out!
