Crypto in April: April was a good month for crypto. Don’t believe us? Check out the numbers. We’ve broken down how well each coin performed for the month of April and every coin in the top 30 grew. EOS and TETHer (USDT) saw the best and worst movement for the month. Can you guess which coin moved the most?

Coins included in this breakdown are only those currently listed within the top 30 cryptocurrencies. All prices are taken from the historical data provided by CoinMarketCap, from the ‘opening’ price on April 1st, 2018, to the ‘closing’ price on April 30th, 2018. All prices are listed in USD.

Crypto in April: the Losers

In April, there weren’t really any losers at all! All coins performed well, without a single coin in the top 30 pulling out a loss. But some coins did do better than others. These are the top three coins that grew, but not enough to win the race.

TETHer (USDT) saw the lowest amount of growth for the month of April. USDT started the month at $$0.995702 and ended at $0.998919, which means the coin moved +0.32%. It’s not surprising that of the top 30 coins, TETHer would be the smallest mover, considering its tie, or tETHer, to the US dollar. There’s only so much you can move when you’re attached to a fiat currency – but at least that makes it less of a risk.

What’s more surprising is Litecoin (available on Coinbase) (LTC). Litecoin (available on Coinbase) only gained +27.00%, despite some big things going on for the coin this month. After TETHer, Litecoin (available on Coinbase) moved the least this month. Litecoin (available on Coinbase) also lost its place as the 5th largest cryptocurrency in April. Litecoin (available on Coinbase) is currently the 7th largest cryptocurrency, with a market cap of $8.2 billion.
