Coins on the crypto markets are seeing both red and green this Monday morning, with Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) (BTC) down 0.03% in the past twenty-four hours, and BitShares (BTS) and Lisk (LSK) both in the green zone. Today, we are going to focus primarily on the latter two coins.

BitShares (BTS)

BitShares is currently selling for $0.387885. This puts the coin up 19.38% in the past twenty-four hours. Despite there not being any fresh news this morning, BitShares had a successful week last week.

The latest in the BTC universe is that the BitShares Blockchain Foundation disclosed that BitShares (BTC) has been listed on RightBTC. Specifically, the virtual currency has been listed for the following five trading pairs: BTS/ETH, BTS/BTC, BTS/ETP, BTS/ETH, and BTS/BCY. Furthermore, last week, the first trial run of the BTSDEX trading app (developed by Autonio) commenced. There’s more, however. Last week, liquidity on the BITshare DEX noticeably increased. BitCNY also witnessed a 21% increase last week.

Lisk (LSK

Lisk is currently selling for $13.15. This puts the LSK coin up 5.43% in the past twenty-four hours. Lisk is currently ranked the 15th largest digital currency, with a market cap of $$1,386,420,372.

There are exciting things on the horizon for Lisk. More specifically, Lisk has numerous events lined up for the month of May, starting this weekend. On Friday and Saturday, Lisk will be participating in the Chainges blockchain conference. The conference will take place in Amsterdam. Not long after, Lisk will be both attending and sponsoring Consensus 2018. This will be held in New York City, and it is a blockchain technology summit. After those events, it will be interesting to see how the Lisk (LTC) price is affected. Additionally, there is a fair bit of scandal surrounding Consensus 2018, with the co-founder of Ethereum (available on Coinbase) stating that he wants to boycott the event, so this too may affect the price of Lisk (LTC). That said, weeks before the event, Lisk (LTC) is up and moving.

The BitShares (BTS) and Lisk (LTC) Takeaway

Which coin were you most surprised about today? Or were you surprised at all? I thought it was nice to see BitShares (BTS) trading up so high.
