The Crypto World Cup Semi-Finals are Here!

It’s hard to believe that the Crypto World Cup semi-finals start tomorrow, July 10th. It feels like just yesterday the group stages were kicking off.

From then to now, the whole tournament has been fun to watch. Mostly because it played out differently than most years.

In the Crypto World Cup semi-finals, there is no Roger Ver, no Vitalik Buterin, and no Cameron Winklevoss. Three crypto players that – and this could be an understatement – did not rise to the occasion, despite the world expecting them to.

Putting the disappointment aside (cough, Brian ArmsTron (available on Binance)g fans, cough), the Crypto World Cup semi-finals is likely to be a doozy. And we couldn’t be more excited.

Before we can get too excited, though, it’s important to remember the fallen crypto players:

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we can get talk about the crypto players that survived the group stages and the knockout stages without feeling dismissive.

Match 1: Charles Hoskinson vs. Satoshi Nakamoto

Tuesday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m.

Go figure that Satoshi Nakamoto made it to the Crypto World Cup semi-finals. He (or she) is, after all, the OG of crypto.

It wasn’t easy getting to this point, though. Satoshi Nakamoto continued to surprise the crypto community throughout the tournament, booting Andreas Antonopoulos out in the round of 16, and beating Cameron Winklevoss in the quarter-finals.
