ALTCoin News – Bitcoin (available on Coinbase) (BTC) is down Wednesday, but so are the majority of the aLTCoins on the market. This is likely due to the Coinrail hack, which occurred over the weekend.
As all the top-ten coins are down today, we’ve had our pick of which coins to report on. After much debate, we’ve settled on Stellar and IOTA.

Stellar XLM Price 🚀
Stellar (XLM) is currently selling for $0.21. This puts XLM down 10.68% in the past twenty-four hours.

Stellar (XLM) is ranked as the 6th largest virtual currency. XLM has a market cap of $4.04B with a 24-hour volume of $47.79M.
On May 21, Stellar announced its “7th Stellar Build Challenge.” This is one of the latest pieces of Stellar news, but it’s a good one. Here’s what the Stellar blog had to say about the challenge:
MIOTA Price
IOTA (MIOTA) is currently selling for $1.20. This puts the aLTCoin down 12.42% in the past twenty-four hours.

For perspective, MIOTA has had a significant drop in price since last Wednesday. On June 6, MIOTA was selling for $1.68.
The latest announcement from IOTA came on Friday, June 8. It was on that day that IOTA announced that it had teamed up with Volkswagen. Why? They will be working on integrating blockchain into the automotive sector.
The Takeaway
Remember that IOTA and Stellar are not the only two aLTCoins down today. Ripple (available on Binance) (XRP) is down 8.75%, Litecoin (available on Coinbase) is down 11.70%, and Cardano is down 10.95% in the past twenty-four hours. What’s interesting to note is that not all of these aLTCoins were directly affected by the Coinrail hack, but they are suffering from it.
For that reason, I recommend keeping your eye out for more aLTCoin news tomorrow and on Friday. If the crypto market has plunged for the past three days, it’s likely that it will continue to do so.
